Technology Requirement

To ensure a successful and enriching learning experience at Islamic School of Canada, we require parents to meet the following technology requirements. This ensures students have full access to the resources and support provided by our programs.

  • Device Access:
Each student should have access to an individual or shared family iPad (iPadOS 13.1 or higher) or Android tablet (Android 8.0 Oreo or higher).

    • Recommended Models: We strongly recommend an iPad 9.7” or higher, or a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 or higher. Lower-quality tablets can significantly affect the quality of the learning experience.
  • Parental Device Access:
Parents need a mobile device (iOS or Android) or a desktop/laptop computer to track their child’s progress and communicate effectively with tutors.

  • Internet Connection:
A stable internet connection is essential for students to access all online resources and programs without interruption.

  • App Download Capability:
Parents should be able to download and install school-recommended apps on both their own devices and their child’s device to support learning.

  • Online Learning Management System:
Students must have access to our online learning management system through a supported web browser, such as Google Chrome or Safari, for connecting with teachers and accessing assignments.

  • Parental Supervision:
Parents are responsible for monitoring their child’s online activities and ensuring devices are used appropriately for learning.

  • Printer Access (Optional):
For families preferring printed assignments, having a home printer is recommended.

By meeting these technology requirements, you help create a smooth, engaging, and effective learning environment for your child at Islamic School of Canada.
